Art at Klawerjas is born from stillness — from vineyards that stretch toward the mountains, from open skies, and from the quiet rhythm of farm life in the Robertson Valley. Elzeth Jacobs creates original paintings and sculptural works that explore form, emotion and contrast, drawing inspiration from both landscape and the human experience. Her work reflects a balance between strength and vulnerability, texture and calm — art that invites you to pause, look closer, and feel.
At Klawerjas, art is not separate from life. The surrounding vineyards, open skies, and rugged mountain lines inform both palette and perspective. The landscape seeps into the work — not literally, but atmospherically.
There is art in the space.

Elzeth Jacobs is a self-taught South African artist whose work explores the human condition through form, fragmentation, and quiet contrast. Working primarily in oil and mixed media, alongside sculptural pieces in clay and composite materials, her art reflects both vulnerability and strength — tension and harmony held in balance.
Her creative journey began as an intuitive exploration of texture and emotion. Over time, that exploration evolved into a distinctive visual language marked by layered surfaces, subtle tonal depth, and expressive forms. Each piece carries movement beneath stillness — an invitation to pause and look again.

Klawerjas is more than a farm — it is a creative estate where wine, landscape, and art converge.
Elzeth’s studio is situated on the property, allowing visitors to experience the work where it is conceived. The rhythm of the vineyard seasons, the play of light across the valley, and the quiet of country life form the backdrop to her process.
Guests staying at Klawerjas are welcome to enquire about viewing available works. Private studio visits can be arranged by appointment.
Art here is not displayed in isolation — it lives within its environment.

Art is not confined to canvas or pedestal.
Selected works by Elzeth are now translated into refined textile pieces — allowing her art to move beyond the studio and into lived spaces.
This collection brings original compositions into everyday environments, while maintaining the integrity and character of the artwork.
